Rimsky-Korsakov At the Monastery
At the Monastery is a piece composed by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov. It was riginally intended as the last movement of a String Quartet (1878â79), of which the first three movements became the Sinfonietta on Russian Themes, Op.31. This piece was composed between 1878 and 1879, and first published in 1955 in Moscow by Muzgiz (in vol.27 of Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov: Complete Collected Works).
