Bartók String Quartet no. 1, Op. 7 (Sz. 40)

Béla Bartók composed his String Quartet no. 1, in the key of A minor, in 1909. It was the first of the six string quartets he wrote throughout his life. The String Quartet no. 1 is a work in three movements, and it was premiered on March 19, 1910 in Budapest by the Waldbauer-Kerpely Quartet.
