Valentin Dretzel also Drechsel, Tretzel or Trexel was a German organist and composer. After training, he worked in his hometown in various churches as an organist. He came from a musical family, his brothers Michael (1576-1635) and Wolfgang (1585-1655) were also musicians. In addition to numerous occasional pieces he created mainly sacred vocal music, including a Magnificat and several motets in polyphonic style.
