Emmanuele de Beaupuis was an composer who worked in Australia. He studied at the Naples Royal Conservatory with Benjamin Cesi, who had himself been a pupil of Austrian virtuoso pianist Sigismond Thalberg. On leaving the Conservatory he made a series of successful professional tours through the principal towns of Italy, Egypt, France, and England. After six years in Cairo, de Beaupuis moved to Melbourne in 1889 and developed a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He toured Australia and South Africa in 1893.
