Joseph Haydn's Piano Trio no. 39 in G major Hob. XV/25 was written in 1795. It is one of Haydn's most well-known piano trios. It is sometimes nicknamed the "Gypsy" or "Gypsy Rondo" trio because of its Rondo finale in 'Hungarian' style. It consists of three movements, spanning an average performance time of 15 minutes. The work was published by the English firm of Longman and Broderip, with the opus number (seldom used today) 73. All three of the Opus 73 trios are dedicated to Haydn's friend Rebecca Schroeter.
