Polonaise Partitura
The Polonaise (which literally means 'Polish' in French) is a dance of Polish origin, with a very similar rhythm to that of the Swedish polska. The polonaise is one of the five historical dances of Poland, and it remains a popular dance for carnival parties. Frédéric Chopin's was the composers whose Polonaises are best known, but pieces in this style were also written by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt, Mauro Giuliani, Modest Mussorgsky, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Alexander Scriabin.
