Virya Duo Muzyka

"Virya" means energy, diligence, and vigour, which are qualities that Virya Duo brings to every performance. Founded in 2012 by violinist Alissa Cheung and pianist Ruby Jin, the duo has been invited to perform at recital series and festivals across Canada and in Europe, and has regularly received coachings from internationally renowned artists. The duo embraces a broad spectrum of literature, from standard repertoire of Beethoven and Brahms to music by contemporary composers. In addition to performances, the duo will be involved in outreach programs in the upcoming season, offering presentations and workshops for schools.
