Shelby Trevor is a violinist specializing in classical music performance. As a performer, Shelby appears with frequency as a chamber musician, philharmonic orchestra member, and as a soloist throughout New England. As an educator, Shelby is Assistant Faculty at Wheaton College where he leads sectionals with the orchestra, formerly a faculty member at Suzuki School of Newton, as well as instructing from his home studio in Roslindale, MA. As a composer, Shelby has written and performed several pieces including works for violin and piano, string quartet, piano quartet, and more. Shelby performs, teaches and composes a wide variety of styles and genres beyond traditional Classical music including Celtic, American and European Folk, Klezmer, and Improvisation.
