Gustave Vogt, born in Paris, was a French oboist. Vogt entered the Conservatoire on July 7, 1798 and became a pupil of François Sallantin for the oboe. He made such rapid progress that the first prize of this instrument was awarded at the end of the following year. He followed later in the same school studying harmony with Jean-Baptiste Re.
