Glinka Trio Pathétique
Trio pathétique is a composition for clarinet, bassoon and piano written around 1832 by Mikhail Glinka, during the composer's visit to italy. The piece bears influence from Donizetti and Bellini. It was performed in Teatro La Scala, in Milan by Pietro Tassistro (clarinet), Antonio Cantu (bassoon) and the composer as pianist, and probably first published in 1878. This trio was the last chamber piece to be composed by Glinka.
