Debussy 3 Chansons de Bilitis
The Songs of Bilitis (Les Chansons de Bilitis) is a collection of erotic, essentially lesbian poetry written by Pierre Louÿs. Debussy, who was Louÿs' close friend, set to music three of the poems in 1897: La flûte de Pan, La chevelure and Le tombeau des Naïades — as songs for female voice and piano.
