Richard Tauber, Richard actually Denemy (Linz, 16 May 1891 - London, January 8, 1948) was an Austrian tenor. The press became the "King of Belcanto" mentioned. The composer Franz Lehar wrote several operettas specifically for the voice and the personality of Richard Tauber. Richard Tauber was the son of the unmarried mother Elizabeth Denemy and the actor Richard Anton Tauber. He arrived on May 16 at a hotel in Linz in the world and was only in 1913 by the name of his adoptive father.
