String Quintet, Op. 9

Friedrich Gernsheim's String Quintet Op. 9 was first performed in 1867 in Cologne. It is a viola quintet, in the sense that it is scored for a standard string quartet with an aditional viola. It was first published in 1868, dedicated to Ferdinand David.
