Copyright status of recording of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto by Franz-Peter Müller

The recording of the Brandenburg Concerto No.4 under "Franz-Peter Müller" here is labelled as being public domain but it sounds identical to a version played by I Musici and I suspected it is still copyright-protected. I also found that there was a copyright dispute caused by using Franz-Peter Müller's recording here. What is going on here? Can I use this recording as a public domain item as labelled?
