Harry Waldo Warner was an english violist and composer. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music (London), where he was a pupil of Orlando Morgan. Warner soon distinguished himself as a performer, and was violist in the very successful London String Quartet, serving with the LSQ from its launch in 1907 until 1928. As a composer, also, Warner soon began to score successes, winning prizes for several of his original works. While studying at the Guildhall School he won the W. W. Cobbett Prize for a piano trio in D minor. In 1921 he won the prestigious Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Prize for his Piano Trio in A minor, Opus 22, published by Ricordi.
