Chausson 2 Mélodies, Op. 36

Ernest Chausson composed his 2 Poèmes, Op. 36, between the years 1896 and 1898. These are two songs for voice and piano, called 'Cantique à l'épouse' and 'Dans la forêt du charme et de l'enchantement'. The first one has music set to original words by Albert Jounet and the second by Jean Moréas (Ioannis A. Papadiamantopoulos). These songs were first published in 1903.
