After beginning his formal musical studies at age five, Alessio Averone gave his first solo concert at the age of 10 performing Morzart and Chopin and then with the Bucharest Radio TV Orchestra in Romania at age 15 Chopin’s Piano Concert n. 2. He began his studies at the Conservatory of Turin and graduated top of his class with honors at a young age. He went on to receive first prize of the OsimoCompetition. After demonstrating great talent and musical ability he was chosen to study with Aldo Ciccolini at the Superior Academy of Music L. Perosi, where he also graduated with honors. While at the Viotti Academy he also studied with Jean Micault. Attended Master Classes in Paris at Echole Normal De Paris and at the Hochschule with Boris Block in Essen, Germany. Alessio was awarded a full scholarship at USC (University of Southern California) for a Doctoral Degree under the guidance of Dr. Stewart Gordon.Alessio Averone has collaborated with eminent artists throughout his career in the North America and Europe. In 2001 he made his US debut in San Diego with the San Diego Symphony and toured Europe where he continued to stun audiences with his passion and sensitivity. He has established himself as a electrifying soloist and also enjoys collaborating with musicians and orchestras. He has also toured Europe where he collaborated in a due with Cello, Alexandro Morosanu.He has performed in San Diego, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and La Jolla, CA; Alexandria, VA, Toronto- Montreal, Canada; Mexico City, Guadalajara, Tijuana, and Ensenada, Mexico where he is regularly invited to perform. After returning to Italy after 10 years of living in Southern California he is now regularly part of Piedmont’s classical music scene and has performed in Novara, Ivera, Alessandria, Torino, Casale, Biella, Varallo, Bra, Cuneo, Vercelli, Bologna He also tours in cities in the rest of Europe: Paris, France; Dusseldorf and Hamburg, Germany; Bucharest, Romania; Iasi, Romania, Arad, Romania; Musingen, Berne & Baden, Switzerland.
