Quadrille Partitions

The Quadrille is both a dance and the music meant to accompany that dance, popular in Europe during the 19th century. It consisted of a series of five or six contredanses, each with a characteristic form and time signature, called Pantalon, Eté, Poulé, Trénis, Pastourelle, and Finale.
