Massenet Suite no. 4 for orchestra "Scènes pittoresques"

Suite no. 4 for orchestra "Scènes pittoresques" is a suite composed by Jules Massenet. It was first performed in 1874 in Paris at Châtelet (cond. Colonne). The suite has four movements and was dedicated to the composer's friend E. Paladilhe. This suite proved to be one of Massenet's most popular concert works due to its light atmosphere and its marching first movement.
