Chopin Berceuse, Op. 57

Frédéric Chopin wrote his Berceuse, Op. 57, in 1844. It is a piano solo work in the style of a lullaby, formally organized as a series of variations in the key of D flat major. The composer titled it Variations, but upon it first publishing (by J. Meissonnier in 1844) the title was changed to Berceuse. The work was dedicated to Elise Gavard.
