Hi, I am a student currently taking commissions, and would like to use this song as the background music for one of my pieces, would you be so kind to permit me to use this?

The beautiful thing about the Creative Commons license is that the artists have already given certain permissions to use their work, often subject to certain terms. Each track here has a logo next to it which links to the Creative Commons license explaining what you can do with the work. This is a rough summary of what to expect from those permissions / licenses, which can be combined: - Public Domain - free to use in any way including creating a derivative work such as using it for background music - Attribution - free to use as long as you give credit to the artist - No Commercial Use - can't be getting paid for the artist's work or a derivative work - No derivative works - you wouldn't be allowed to use it for your project.
