Carl (Christian) Eisner (also known as Charles Eisner), a horn virtuoso of the 19th century, who received his education in Dresden. Employed as Imperial court musician in St. Petersburg until 1836 he found enough time to tour Europe as a virtuoso. His works were documented to appear since 1835, in Dresden, Vienna, Pest and Leipzig.
