Josephus Fodor was a Dutch musician. He was the elder brother musicians Carolus Emanuel (* 1759) Carolus Antonius (1768-1846) and father of Josephine (1789-1870). Josephus Andreas acquired the rudiments of the violin in Venlo, then completed his learnings with Franz Benda in Berlin. He wrote the Spiritual Concert in Paris in 1780. In 1787 he moved to Paris where he worked as a violin teacher and composer. In 1792 he moved to St. Petersburg.
