Johann Christian Barthel was a German organist composer and music teacher . Barthel studied under Johann Adam Hiller at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig and debuted at age 12 at a concert in Leipzig with a piano concerto by Mozart in the presence of the composer. Barthel has composed for the organ and vocal music.
