John Verocai was an Italian composer and violinist. Probably a student of Vivaldi. In 1727 was hired by the theater director Santo Burigotti to enter as part of the orchestra's new Stadttheater of Wroclaw. The following year he wrote his first compositions, represented in the Polish city in the summer of 1728. In 1729 he entered the service of Frederick Augustus, Prince-Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, at its Dresden court.
