Friedrich Wilhelm Voigt Sheet Music

Friedrich Wilhelm Voigt was a German composer, music educator and conductor. Voigt grew up in a musical family, his father, Stabshoboist Christian Voigt, was a military musician. Friedrich Wilhelm Voigt studied in Cologne, Leipzig and Berlin, and in 1857 became a conductor, succeeding Carl Engelhardt, the Erste Garde-Regiment zu Fuß in Potsdam. He remained in this position until 1887. From 1887 to 1890 he was the first Musikinspizient of the Prussian Army, a function that is similar to the Military Inspector Music, which was necessary due to the association of the German countries the empire.
