Edmond Chérouvrier Sheet Music

Edmond Chérouvrier was a French composer. He was a pensioner at the Collège de l'Immaculée-Conception de Vaugirard in Paris, which was known for its good music lessons before studying at Simon Leborne at the Conservatoire de Paris. He composed several operas, of which only Le Roi des Mines in 1863 performed at the Théâtre Lyrique, as well as some church music. From 1870 to 1878 Cherouvier was mayor of the XIV. Arrondissement of Paris. In 1879 he became Secretary General of the Paris Opera. Since 1882 he was one of four vice-presidents of the Société de musique des Compositeurs.
