Carl Cannabich was a German composer. He was the son of Christian Cannabich, one of the most famous composers of the Mannheim school . 1778, he moved with his parents to Munich in 1796, he worked as theater conductor in Frankfurt. Cannabich was appointed in 1798 to Munich and worked as concertmaster and music director of the Munich Court Theatre, among others, he composed in 1801 for the performances of Salieri Axur the ballet music.
