Anton Bemetzrieder was a French born composer, theorist and music teacher. He began his studies in Strasbourg and graduated in philosophy in 1760 and in laws in 1762. He leaves to settle in Paris in 1766 and began studying music. In particular, he was hired by Denis Diderot in 1769 to teach his daughter the harpsichord.
