Alois Edenhofer was seminary teacher of music at the College of Education in Straubing, church musician and composer. His compositions are mainly church music. It includes songs for all kinds of voices, motets, etc. His "100 Offertories for the whole liturgical year" have appeared in many editions and were sung in the first half of the 20th century by many country choirs. In his time Edenhofer was a very valued composer.
