Alessandro Amato was born in Italy. Starts his experience in the music field at a very young age, showing very soon special bents and artistic sensibilities. Graduated in piano at the Conservatory of Music “N.Piccinni” in Bari (Italy) with Vito Reibaldi. Present in Italian music-cultural seasons and events, he performs repertoires which range from the classical to the 20th century and contemporary genre in several recitals. On the occasion of vocal concerts he performs as piano accompanist of singers showing a special predilection for the repertoire pertaining to a lied. Nevertheless, his interest in the vocal art leads him to attend some seminars on vocality, among which we remember those held by S. Woodbury and the Applied Phoniatrics Seminar “Education and treatment of the artistic voice” held by the Professor Franco Fussi at the Conservatory of Music “A. Casella” in L’Aquila. He has been awarded in several national and international competitions both as soloist and as member of a duo or a trio. Likewise he has performed as director and artistic coordinator of some young orchestras in 2004.
