Images pour orchestre

Images pour orchestre is an orchestral work by Claude Debussy, written between 1905 and 1912. Though he originally intended it as a sequel to his Images for piano, he ended up orchestrating the three pieces that comprised the new set. Of the three pieces, Gigues, Iberia, and Rondes de printemps ("Round dances of spring"), the second is arguably the most popular, being a fine example of the trend of writing Spanish flavored music that some composers adhered to at the turn of the century.
