Bartók String Quartet no. 2, Op. 17 (Sz. 67)

Béla Bartók composed his String Quartet no. 2 between 1915 and October 1917. It is a work in three movements, and it bears a dedication to the Waldbauer-Kerpely Quartet, who gave the piece its premiere on 3 March 1918 in Budapest. It was first published in 1920 by Universal Editions.
