Preludes for Organ, BuxWV 136-154

Buxtehude's organ music was of key importance in the transition to the modern organ styles, and it made full use of the developing technology of the instrument. His works for organ comprise both the tradition of the free instrumental forms (toccatas, etc.) as well as the form based on a sacred chorale melody.
