Giovanni Varischino (or Varischini) was the nephew and pupil of Giovanni Legrenzi, as described in the libretto of his opera "L'Odoacer". He composed two operas for Venice, "L'Odoacer", with a libretto by Novello Bonis, premiered at the Sant'Angelo castle in 1680 and "L'fortunato lover per forza" with libretto by Pietro d'Averara presented in Sant 'Angelo in 1684 or 1685, whose music has been lost. These are his only other known works six cantatas that can be handwritten excerpts from operas. Varischino published two works of his uncle in 1691 and 1692, as stated by him in his will. The score of "L'Odoacer" shows the hand of a competent composer and elegant moments without much background imagination. Most arias da capos are transcribed with widespread reprise in the way typical of the period between 1675-1685. A trumpet joins the set of strings several times, as in the imitative significantly Symphony apertur
