Beethoven Sonata para piano n.º 32

The Sonata no. 32, Op. 111, is the last of Beethoven's piano sonatas. Along with Beethoven's 33 Variations on a Waltz by Diabelli and his two collections of bagatelles, this was one of Beethoven's last compositions for piano. Written between 1821-2, it showcases fugal elements, like other late period works. In an unusual structural setting, the work has only two movements, though it is clear that the balance between them eliminates the need for a third one. Sketches for this work have been found dated as early as 1800. Chopin greatly admired this sonata, and it inspired some of his works.
