Professional :: I am a human factors engineer focusing on human computer interaction (HCI) and user experience (UX) research and design. My writing has been published in a number of journals, magazines, and books, including a behavioral psychology textbook for Oxford University Press. I have worked with organizations, such as: Green Dot, UCLA, UCSF, The Veteran's Administration (VA), California Department of Public Health, Emory University, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I have my M.S. in Human Factors and Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and my B.A. in Anthropology from UCLA. The bulk of my work relates to computing technology: software, applications, web development, UbiComp, and wearable systems.
I write. I drink Paris Tea by Harney and Sons. I go for walks. I practice yoga, Pilates, and meditation. I love my dog. I listen to audiobooks. I travel. I am conversational in Castilian Spanish and am learning German. I keep my life simple so that I can enjoy as much of my time on earth as possible.
