Rebecca has been playing the piano by ear since the age of 7 years, but it wasn't until the age of 9 when she began learning to read music through classical music training. Receiving superior ratings at piano competitions took her to Belmont College in Nashville, TN to perform in recitals at an early age. Years later, as Rebecca's singing career blossomed, she was never without her muse- the piano. Returning to school as an adult to receive a Master's Degree in Music, she rediscovered harmony, and the lush chords and fascinating rhythms that make up jazz. Her performance credits include opening for Mel Torme at the Johnny Mercer Festival in Savannah, GA, the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) Conference, St. Simons Island Jazz-in-the-Park Series, local Atlanta venues such as Sambuca Jazz Cafe and Eddie's Attic, and many others too numerous to list here. She has enjoyed featured artist performing stints in Japan, England, and France; with pianist Mac Frampton and the Hollywood Hills Orchestra; and in concert venues throughout the U.S. A founding member, vocal director, and arranger for the touring vocal jazz quartet, South City Voices, Rebecca co-produced the group's debut CD, "Got Swing" in 2003. Often compared to the Manhattan Transfer, they appear with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra as well as at local concert venues such as Libby's Cabaret.

In 2001, this award-winning singer/songwriter released her debut album of original music "To A Warmer Heart", which features Rebecca's piano playing as well as that of other outstanding musicians. She has written piano songs appropriate for young students from late beginner to early advanced levels, and enjoys accompanying, producing, and mentoring her students in the studio as well as in performance. Rebecca has experience working in Japan as a solo act accompanying herself on piano, and has arranged for big band and orchestra, using Encore and Sibelius software.

An avid educator as well as performer, Rebecca is proud of her private piano and composition students, many of whom have won scholarships, excelled in competitions and festivals, advanced to perform professionally, and received local and national awards, including recognition in Billboard magazine and Time Warner New Artist of the Year Award.
