Everyone can make music, and it has been my goal as a musician and teacher to make what has seemed difficult or impossible, attainable, and to make the process fun as well as enlightening.

I've been a singer and conductor for over thirty years, with 18 years of professional experience here in the Bay Area as director of the Oakland Symphony Chorus. I have taught conducting, choral music, and music literature classes at the University of Southern California, Santa Clara University, UC -Davis, Smith College, and Mount Holyoke College.

Everyone learns at different speeds and in different ways. I seek to find those paths into the students understanding and technique to make the process effective, efficient and enjoyable.
