<p>Charlene enjoys teaching motivated students of all ages &amp; abilities. Although specializing in early keyboards, she has kept an active private piano studio in the Bay Area &amp; she has developed an Music History course that is integrated into the Berkeley Crowden School curriculum.</p>
<p>As a performer, numerous appearances have been made on both harpsichord &amp; fortepiano, as soloist, chamber musician, &amp; lieder collaborator. She is the founder &amp; director of the Streicher Trio, a Bay Area ensemble that has won awards, performed in European Festivals, &amp; made three CD recordings: The Mozart Trios, Trios of C. Schumann &amp; L. Farrenc, &amp; a compilation of 17th/18th century Italian music from the San Francisco Frank de Bellis Collection. </p>
<p>Charlene's background includes modern piano literature, orchestral literature played as a flautist, &amp; the large repertoire for early keyboards from the Renaissance through the early Romantic eras. This is unique for a teacher &amp; provides a rich learning experience.</p>
