Robert Penn produces, directs, shoots and edits commercial and corporate video projects, and creates videos and digital films. Mr. Penn produced and directed six 60-second Public Service Announcements promoting HIV-testing for New Jersey’s “Status is Everything” campaign that launched in February 2010. As Director of Photography, he completed principal location shooting for a feature-length documentary about northeastern Sierra Leone in April 2009. New York State Council on the Arts awarded Mr. Penn a 2006 Individual Artist Grant in Film and Video/New Media Technologies. Mr. Penn’s three-minute digital film for choreographer Ronald K. Brown’s 2003 homage to Nina Simone, “Come Ye,” was lauded by performance critic Theodore Bale as “stunning digital film” in his March 6, 2005 Boston Herald column.
