Luigi Forino was an Italian-Argentine cellist and music teacher. Forino was from 1901 director of the Conservatorio Nacional in Buenos Aires and professor of harmony and counterpoint. After his return to Rome he taught at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He published Cello Sonatas by Luigi Boccherini and wrote a history of the cello and the cellist (Il violoncello: il violoncellista ed i violoncellisti, 1936). He also published a five-volume cello school.
