Ludwig Bonvin was a Swiss-American composer. Bonvin was ordained in 1885 in Liverpool , but then turned to music and was hired in 1887 as music director at Canisius College in Buffalo. As a composer has written lots and Bonvin offertorier , an oratorio ( Die Auferstehung des Herrn , opus 115), and secular choral works, compositions for women's choir and duets, and worldly and spiritual songs. He has also written a small number of instrumental works, including a symphony (G minor, opus 67), a violin romance (opus 19), and others. Bonvin has also participated in disussionen of the Gregorian chant .
