Giovanni Battista Vacchelli (Rubiera, about 1625 - location of death unknown, after 1667) was an Italian composer and organist. Franciscan friar, was appointed in 1646 organist at Rubiera and in 1657 became Kapellmeister of the church of San Francesco in Bologna. From 1664 to 1667 he was a member, under the name of Academic Naufragante, of the Death Academy of Modena. In this period, around 1667, was also choirmaster at Pesaro. Vacchelli to come to us mainly sacred vocal works, who wrote most likely to be performed in churches at which he served.
