Costantino De Crescenzo was an Italian composer and pianist. He started his musical studies at a very young age at the Conservatorio San Pietro a Maiella, of which S. Mercadante was the Director in that time. There he perfected his piano playing under the guidance of F. Valente and then in composition with C. Conti, he was also later asked to assist the Mercadante, who had become blind, with the direction of the consevatory.
