Scherzo no. 3 in C sharp minor, Op. 39

Frédéric Chopin completed his third Scherzo, Op. 39, in 1839. The composition process took place in the monastery of Valldemossa on the Balearic island of Majorca, Spain. The piece was dedicated to one of his closest pupils, Adolphe Gutmann.
