Estampes, L. 100

Estampes is a set of piano works by Debussy, usually catalogued as L. 100 or CD. 108. It consists of three piece, and was composed and published in 1903, with dedication to J. E. Blanche. Evening in Granada makes use of an arabic like scale, and mimics guitar strumming with piano technique in order to evoke images of Granada, Spain. It has to be noted that Debussy uses this resource again in La Puerta del Vino, from his posterior Preludes.
