An Die Musik ('To Music'), D. 547, is a song for voice and piano, written by Franz Schubert, with text from a poem by Franz von Schober. It was written in 1817 and published in 1827 as Op. 88. no 4, after a revision. The original version was published in 1895. An Die Musik is in the key of D major, and it bears a dedicatory to piano virtuoso Albert Sowinsky, dated April 24, 1827 (a decade after its composition). Nowadays An Die Musik enjoys great popularity, being one of Schubert's best known songs.
