Il filosofo di campagna (the country philosopher) is a 3-act opera by Baldassare Galuppi, with an italian libretto by Carlo Goldoni. It premiered in Teatro di San Samuele in Venice in 1754 and, even tough it enjoyed great popularity in the five years after its premiere, its barely represented today.
