Greensleeves to a Ground

Greensleeves is a traditional English folk song, usually played by a single instrument over a ground of the romanesca or passamezzo antico form. Usually regarded as an anonymous piece, there are many records of claims to the authorship of the tune, mainly by English composers. The theory exists that Santiago de Murcia, a Spanish composer, may have created the tune. It has had many sets of lyrics, some of which make sexual references.
